New Layout for you

So I love this layout soooo much.  It is of my niece Addison when she turned two.  She is such a ham for the camera.  I handmade the flowers out of felt and yarn.  I used one of the layouts (#1) over at XOXO girls for inspiration and the challenge directions for the second week of last scrapper standing at Memorable Seasons. The sponsor over at XOXO is Divine Design Kits and it is a great prize this month.  Dont forget to stop by XOXO girls and vote for your favorite layout between July1st and the 6th.   I had a lot fun making this layout and hope you like it.

I have had something that I have been dying to share.  When I started this blog I said that I wanted to join a design team.  I heard stories about people trying forever and not getting on one.  I also heard that you had to have a lot of followers and been blogging for awhile.  Well I am here to prove all those things wrong.  I was picked to be on the design team at Design Dollies.  Can you believe it?  It was the first DT call that I applied to and I was asked to join.  I am so excited and you wouldnt believe the amazing ladies over at Dollies.

July 1st is the official day that my duties begin.  You have to make sure that you come by and check out Design Dollies.  They have great challenges and the prizes are to die for.  Also the new banner will go up on the first and the new blinkie will be available.  Will you be able to guess which doll I am?

I also have another surprise for you to celebrate the news but you will have to check back in with me on the 1st to see what it is...

You gotta join.  This is the very first forum I ever joined and the first crop I ever did was there.  The April crop was the reason that I got back in the game again.  It is great place and a lot of fun so I hope to see you there. I have been very inspired by these ladies and know that you will be also.

Nic layout!!!!

First this is the layout that I entered into SD4U's Camp Rock Contest...see my post below for more info.  Anyhow coolness upon coolness I won first place.  So when I was planning the layout I checked the collage and DT layouts over at Envious (NVS) and drew some awesome inspiration.  So now I am entering it into the monthly contest over at Envious (NVS).  I tried to embrace the same feeling with the shabby feel as the collage.

I found two doilies at a flea market and cut the roses out of them. I also got an old drape from the market and cut the lace off it. Finally I found a package of doilies that were suppose to be used under a candle to catch the wax. I wet, crumbled and inked the doilies.
I have a funny story about the pic that I just have to share. I sneezed while doing the layout and little drop of water(we all know it was spit but water sounds nicer) landed on the nose of photo turning the spot pink. I tried to wipe it and it made a bigger pink spot. Suddenly I thought a tinted pink picture would be cool. The ink didnt seem to smear when I rubbed it so I thought I bet I could do this to the whole thing. I didnt use water from the sink because I didnt know if it would change it another color so what did I do.... I LICKED the whole photo. I thought okay now I have lost it!

Blue Moon Scrapbooking Sale and Giveaway

Blue Moon Scrapbooking is doing a 3 day Basic Grey sale and giveaway.  You should definately go by and check them out. They have free shipping over $50 on top of the sale and they are throwing in Glimmer Mist spray for orders over $65. WOW!

Layouts from this weekend

I have been trying out different ways to take photos of my LO... I have a couple pictures that I like how they show off the LO so I think I will update the pictures in some of my posts.
I found another forum that I really like... it is Creative Scrapbooking Divas. They had a crop this weekend that was a lot of fun.  Here are a couple of the layouts that I did for the crop.

The challenge was a recipe challenge we had to have 1 found item, 2 shapes, 3 pattern paper, 4 embellishments and 5 lines of journaling.  My found item is the flowers... I cut them off of a sweater that my daughter couldnt wear anymore.  The flowers were white so I sprayed them with homemade shimmer mist. The shapes are the hexagons and circles.  The four embelishments are flocking, the flowers, brads and rikrak.

I have one more layout to share that I did for Scrapbook Deals 4 U Camp Rock but I cant share it until it has been voted on.  Have a good day and thanks for stopping by!

I just have to share....
Scrapbook Deals 4 U is doing a Camp Rock Summer Camp... Here is what they have to say about it....
It is going to be a ton of fun...the Design Team is super Excited in the preparations for this Summer Camp...and we can't wait to get you all playing along!! All challenges will be issued on Fridays and due on Tuesdays at 6 pm PST...and ALL challenges will be based on an Artist or a specific song...with challenges to reflect the inspiration piece. The coolest thing is...we will not know who did what layout...because you will not load it into your own gallery will all be anonymous! Once the cut off time has arrived for entering your layout for that week's challenge, we will let you all know that challenge is over, and a poll will be up shortly. These layouts will be voted on by everyone here at SD4u, and points will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

Each week, you will earn badges for participating. You will also earn points for commenting in the gallery, board participation, inviting your friends and advertising this on your facebook, blog, or twitter, and for random games that may be issued along the way.

Here are a couple of the badges that you may earn...

A complete list of how to earn points and how many points you will earn will be posted soon.

Similar to Camp Rock the movie...we will be issuing challenges and each will gain a little in difficulty level as the camp progresses...all working toward that Camp Rock Final Jam...and to determine WHO will be the next Guest Designer for us here at SD4U!!!!

If this sounds like something you would be interested in participating in, sign up right here and let us know!!! (Anyone can join at any time...but pre-sign ups will earn your bonus points!!)
